ABOUT THE HOUSE

Annette's House

Due to the triple flooding in 2024, the concept had to be changed. Annette’s House will be expanded with modern residential containers starting in spring 2026. You are most Welcome!

It is very quiet and peaceful here in Kumyali. Depending on the wind direction, you can hear the sound of the sea. Definitely see.

Olive harvest in autumn

The olive tree, scientifically known as Olea europaea, is valued for its diverse uses. The most important are the olives, from which olive oil is extracted, which is used in cooking, cosmetics, and medicine. The leaves and wood of the olive tree are also used, for example, in traditional medicine.

Lavender sachets

We collect the flowers and either tie them into bouquets to hang or make lavender sachets, which help keep moths away in the closet.

Lavender & bees & Honey

Lavender is a bee-friendly plant that provides an important food source for bees. Its flowering shrubs provide abundant pollen and nectar, especially in midsummer when other plants have already finished flowering.

RENOVATION STARTED IN 2024

Bathroom

Most of the old tiles were replaced with modern ones and combined with the fine marble. New fittings and a new toilet. Shower, glass shower cubicle will be installed soon. Washbasin now with wooden legs made of fig wood. Mirror and light will be installed soon.
The table legs and towel racks were designed and manufactured in-house.

The idea was to combine old and new.

The garden, Annette's Paradise

I'm delighted with the garden, with its herbs, flowers, and fruits.

My mother loved her garden and spent many hours creating, tending, and expanding it. "This is where I relax," she always said. She was curious about all the new plants and never tired of planting new roses. The rose blossom is a symbol in the logo.

The so-called "Kara Dut" mulberry (the German blackberry) is simply delicious. In 2025/2026, the lemon tree bore a truly abundant crop of lemons for the first time. 100% organic, as there was absolutely no chemical treatment. Waltraud's recipe for lemon curd is a real delicacy. And let's not forget the lavender (lavender sachets).
