You choose your favorite dog in peace and quiet and write a short email with the subject “Name” of the furry friend.

As a THANK YOU, I am happy to arrange video calls. You can receive videos and pictures of your loved one. In exchange I can send self-harvested olive oil, olive tree leaves (tea), lavender bags and Harub products. Be part of the olive harvest - come and join us!
What the dogs receive here to make them happy
Education & Accomodation
The dogs are in the house, outside in the garden. Outside the site they wear harnesses and are on a leash in the village. They also follow without a leash, but it is safer. They are leashed in open fields and by the sea.
Healthy food & healthy treats
There is a good mix of dry food and I cook for them. Favorite dishes: warm liver & rice, chicken & rice, tuna & rice. Dog biscuits a lá Martina. A great woman and competent dog trainer.

SERTAP & EVREN have a dog hotel here in Kumyali and a shelter with 25 street dogs.
I am happy that my siblings and mother can all live peacefully together here with me in ANNETTE'S House AND I am confident that we will find a way to support my friend's dogs in their shelter. SERTAP is wonderful with the dogs ... they follow her - each of us has a gift, this is hers.
Because other people do not like dogs and hurt them, I do it to save them.

Christoph grew up with animals, especially dogs, in his home. He knows no life without man’s best friend.
It’s very important to us to help where there’s need. During our sailing trips in the Mediterranean, we encountered so many stray dogs, but we couldn’t really do much to help. Now, Ayla has come into our lives. We know Alex and trust her to ensure the help reaches those who need it. We are so happy about Ayla and thank her sincerely for the opportunity to help, even just a little.
Animal welfare is a cause very close to my partner’s heart and mine. Animals enrich our lives in so many ways, yet they cannot speak for themselves when they are in need. That is precisely why we want to lend them our voice. Through our donation, we aim to help provide protection, care, and a secure future for those who cannot help themselves. Every life matters, and together we can make the world a little brighter for them.

AYLA, female, born in 2025
HER CHARACTER: Very social, gentle and naughty.
Her Story
AYLA is since November 2025 part of #annettes.haus. I found Ayla in a ditch on the road to Ziyamet in early October 2025. So, no training, but dog rescue. As it turned out, she had been hit by a car, left there, and badly injured. She had three operations on her hind leg - unfortunately, the fracture was so unfortunate that the leg had to be amputated after four difficult months. It has healed wonderfully and she is running very fast on three legs. A beauty A wonderful soul, full of positive energy, and the pack is lovingly integrating her. His Story
FRED in England. He is the 5th child of AZUR. He and his Sister MARTHA got dumped but Sertap & Evren found them and took care. Same time Sertap has found a new family for FRED & MARTHA in England.

HER CHARACTER: A little bit shy, likes to play, social.
Her Story
MARTHA is in England. She is the 4th child of AZUR. She and her brother FRED got dumped but Sertap & Evren found them and took care. Same time I took AZUR and the other siblings EROS, KAAN, INGA to my home. Unfortunately, there was no family union, but we found a way to save them. Sertap has found a new family for MARTHA & FRED in England.
LIMAN, female, probably born in 2020, neutered & chiped
HER CARACTER: Powerful & fast, clever, loving, cuddly. Main dog: follows commands & whistles and teaches the young dogs many good things.
Her Story
2021 (Corona time): She found me here in the harbor in Kumyali. Liman translated in Turkish is “port”. My mother fell very badly and had to go to the hospital. So I came home from Germany and cared for her 24/7. Every day I went swimming in the morning... one day she was there, even on the following days ... as if she had been waiting for me. It was three days that she even followed me to our gate. My mother had recovered well and was sitting in the garden watering the roses. We had agreed on our own: no more dogs. But then she suddenly said: “Oh, don’t we want to let them in?” She quickly developed a big stomach. We thought she was pregnant, but Sali tells us that she was seriously ill and died a short time later. “Save” was our answer. Liman came home weakened after the procedure. As the hours passed it got worse and we took her back to Sali. It was bad because her chance was 50/50. So she almost lost her life twice. She and Azur are my running buddies - happy and sometimes a little crazy. She belongs to #annettes.haus.
AZUR, female, probably born in 2022, neutered & chiped
HER CARACTER: Her beautiful blue eye hence her name. Very sweet, likes to play, likes running (sports), likes to dig in the ground, is funny. She is the cuddliest among the 5 dogs.
Her Story
Fall 2023: One day when I was running to the harbor, I saw a little beige dog and she accompanied me while running. I immediately fell in love with her beautiful blue eyes and named her AZUR. I kept seeing her and she never left my side. Time passed and one day I witnessed her cover. She came to me heavily pregnant and left again because there was too much noise from my renovation work. Then in May 2024 I saw her with 6 puppies at a neighbor's house. I fed her and the puppies. One day when I came feeding there were only three puppies left. I didn't want the other three to die, so I took them all with me. Immediate vaccination against Pavor with Filiz. But where were the other dog babies? I met Sertap and Evren while shopping, they took me and the many shopping bags with them in the car. We talked about dogs and rescue. I told you about Azur and her puppies. Suddenly Sertap said: "the other two siblings live with us"! Unfortunately we lost one: Pavor. But the others are happy and healthy. Poisoned in 2024 and medically treated and saved at the last moment by Gökçe She was neutered September 2024. Thanks to Sali & Gökçe (veterinarians) and "Altın patiler derneği" (animal protection association). She belongs to #annettes.haus.
EROS, male, born in April 2024, castrated & chiped
HIS CARACTER: clever, very gentle, not doinant, very social, curios, likes to play, to search, he learns to abort, cuddly. Castrated.
His Story
His name is Eros it is the "god of love". He has a really calm disposition, yet alert and sensitive. He and his sister Inga are both mixed race - one thing is certain: their mother and "German Stichelhaar" from somewhere. They are excellent family dogs, calm and stable characters. He was neutered & chiped in November 2024. Thanks to Sali & Gökçe (veterinarians) and "Altın patiler derneği" (animal protection association). He belongs to #annettes.haus.
KAAN, male, born in April 2024, castrated & chiped
HIS CARACTER: He is very delicate and gentle, including his fur. Cuddly, likes to play.
His story
Kaan is like a cat sometimes. Cuddly, a little skeptical at first, elegant. He broke his tibia (right back) when he was 4 months old. Thanks to an excellent surgeon, he can run and run again. He is a "soft boy" sensitive and handsome. He he was neutered & chiped in January 2025. Thanks to Sali & Gökçe (veterinarians) and "Altın patiler derneği" (animal protection association). He belongs to #annettes.haus.
INGA, female, born in April 2024, neutered & chiped
HER CARACTER: Very clever, active, likes to play, is not afraid of anything, walks wonderfully on a leash with the two big ladies Liman and Azur.
Her Story
HER CARACTER: She is also called "Speedy-Gonzales - the fastest mouse in Cyprus". Balanced, calm, robust, courageous but controlled; neither shy nor aggressive. Sterilized. Sometimes cheeky. She was neutered & chiped in November 2024. Thanks to Sali & Gökçe (veterinarians) and "Altın patiler derneği" (animal protection association). She belongs to #annettes.haus.
